Trivia:
This is the first film worked on by Eros International's VFX studio EyeQube.

Action coordinator Shyam Kaushal studied traditional Indian martial arts like Gatka (adapted by the Sikhs), Kalaripayat (developed by the Malayalams) and Chhau (originating in West Bengal) for incorporation into the film's skirmishes.

To prepare for his role, Abhishek Bachchan trained in sword-fighting under veteran fight director Shyam Kaushal.

According to Abhishek Bachchan, the persona of Drona is based upon superheroes without super-abilities, like Zorro, the Phantom and Batman.
