"Don 2" is the sequel to the 2006 blockbuster crime thriller 'Don,' and takes off from where it ended. Having conquered the Asian underworld, Don (Shah Rukh Khan) now has his sights set on European domination. In his way are the bosses of the existing European underworld and all law enforcement agencies. The action shifts from Kuala Lumpur to Berlin as Don must avoid assassination or arrest, whichever comes first, for his plan to succeed.

In the first Don, Roma isn't an Interpol officer. When it came to Don 2, she is an Interpol officer, that too in Malaysia.

When Don surrenders to Malik and Roma at their office, Malik drops a hand bag and papers scatter on the floor. In the next scene, shot from top, the scattered papers are not there.

The film marks Farhan Akhtar's return to direction after a gap of nearly 5 years.

Katrina Kaif had always had a long-standing desire of contributing in some way to a film's post-production. While editing the film, Farhan Akhtar let Katrina edit a small portion to fulfill her wish.

Shah Rukh Khan himself jumped from a height of 300 ft in the film.

The film entered the Top 10 UK Box Office on its opening day, December 21st, two days ahead of its worldwide release on the 23rd December 2011.

At the end of the movie, Don (Shah Rukh Khan) is seen riding a motorbike on a long motorway aboard a bridge. The license plate of the bike reads "Don 3" hinting at the possibility of a sequel.

Don 2 is Shah Rukh Khan's first sequel.
