Trivia:
This is the first movie, produced by Dreamz Unlimited, a production company jointly owned by Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Aziz Mirza, to not flop in the box office.

Rani Mukerji had originally turned down this role, since she thought it was too similar to Saathiya.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the lead role in this movie, but her ex-beau Salman Khan started coming on to the sets drunk, causing problems and stalling screening time. Shah Rukh Khan, fearing that more problems would occur, immediately dropped Aishwarya from the lead, causing problems between the two of them, for a period of time.

After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was dropped from the lead role, Kajol was considered for the role of Priya, but she declined.

Rani Mukerji and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were best friends in the industry until Aishwarya Rai was dropped from the film, and Rani took up the role. Despite Aishwarya's marriage to Abhishek Bachchan, who is also good friends with Rani, they have not made up at all.
