Trivia:
It was in this movie that Amitabh Bachchan played dual roles for the first time in his career

Amitabh Bachchan has fond memories of an act of goodwill shown to him by Mumtaz, who was already a huge star and Amitabh was still a struggler in the industry. Amitabh owned a Fiat at the time and often wondered what driving a Mercedes-Benz would be like. One day after pack-up, Amitabh noticed his car was missing, and was told by Mumtaz's driver that 'Madam had left in his Fiat.' The driver then handed Amitabh the keys of her Mercedes to use for the night.

This movie is considered Amitabh Bachchan's biggest commercial disaster at the box office.

This is the only film in which Amitabh's voice has been dubbed by a person with a different voice. The scene in question is when Amitabh meets a dying look-alike in the film. The dying man is also Amitabh. For his voice, the director chose a dubbing artiste to lend authenticity to the character .
