During the scene at the airport, Mr. Henry Nobley insults Martin by saying that Martin couldn't get an acting part in The Hobbit. In reality, Bret McKenzie, who plays Martin, has a role in the Lord of the Rings films as an elf, so technically he's been there, done that.
Most of Jennifer Coolidge (Miss Elizabeth Charming's) lines were made up on the spot; according to the producers, it was almost impossible to get her to memorize the script.
Rupert Vansittart, who plays Mr. Wattlesbrook, was also in the BBC mini-series of Pride & Prejudice, which Jane is obsessed with and watches in the movie. He also plays a surly, usually drunk upper class gentleman.
Keri Russell's character is called Jane, the real name of Mrs. Wattlesbrook who is interpreted by Jane Seymour.
Shannon Hale: The author who wrote the novel on which the film is based, has a cameo as an extra within the film. According to Hale, she chose not to tell the other extras who she was and they were all very impressed that the director and lead actors addressed her throughout the day of shooting.
