In a moving train, lights from outside the train are supposed to move through a compartment but here, during the journey to the festival, the lights just appear and disappear as if they are being switched on and off.

Continuity
In the climax scene, where Prakash Raj starts beating Vikram, Vivek switches on the candid camera, which is fixed on the wall. At the court, Vivek produces the cassette taken from the candid camera, but the video seems more like it was taken from a moving camera.

The film highlights the Thiruvaiyaar music festival, where well-known exponents like Kunnakudi R Vaidhyanathan, Sudha Raghunathan and Unnikrishnan appear in the scene.

Imported fighters as well as martial artists from all over the state were used in the multi-opponent fight scene.

Vikram described his role in "Anniyan" as the most difficult one of his career.

The main inspiration for the movie was Sidney Sheldon's famous novel "Tell Me Your Dreams".

This is the first Indian movie to be dubbed into French. Columbia Tristar bought the dubbing rights for broadcast in French-speaking nations.
